The Minichamps Bugatti Veyron 2009 Model Diecast Car is manufactured in 1:18 Scale and is approximately 24cm long. Minichamps fine detailing on the Veyron model is exceptional. The bonnet lifts off showing the Veyron’s engine and the rear spoiler flips up like the real thing. The fully opening doors and boot at the front of the Veyron reveal life like interior detail and it becomes obvious why this Minichamp model cost that little bit more than their other diecast model cars. The Bugatti Veyron comes in a Minichamp presentation box but the car does not come with a plinth. An 1/18th display case can be bought from our website to put the model car in and to keep out the dreaded dust.
The Bugatti Veyron is named after Pierre Veyron who won the 1939 race at Le Mans driving the Bugatti Type 57 model car.
The Veyron has two massive V8 engines in a ‘W’ configuration ( 16 cylinders ) and 4 turbochargers, hence the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 name. The Veyron 8 litre engine produces 1006 bhp and can propel the Bugatti to over 408 km/h (253.81 mp/h). The Bugatti Veyron is the fastest production vehicle ever produced. The specially designed braking system on the Veyron will stop it whilst traveling from 400mph to stand still in less than 10 seconds. This sounds very impressive though its worth noting that the Veyron will have covered ½ a kilometer in this time.
If you wish to purchase a brand new Bugatti Veyron model it will set you back a eye watering £1,665,000 and if you can afford that its worth noting that the Veyron does about 3.6 mpg on a run!
