The History Of Lamborghini Cars

Lamborghini Jota By Kyosho 1:18 scale

Ferruccio Lamborghini set up business in Italy building tractors out of machinery left over from World War Two. By the mid 1950’s he had become the largest agricultural equipment manufacturer in Italy and a very rich man. Lamborghini loved Ferrari sports cars, owning a Ferrari GTO him self but he hated the noise and coarseness of the road going racing cars. Lamborghini wanted a refined high performance car and in 1963 the Lamborghini 350 GTV model was unveiled at the Turin motor show. The company flourished until the Oil Crisis in the mid 1970’s producing the 400 GT, Miura and Espada models. In the mid 1970’s the Lamborghini Countach model hit the road and the futuristic design lasted for 9 years. Chrysler bought Lamborghini and the Diablo was released in 1990. At the time it was the fastest road car on the market and Lamborghini began to turn a profit with big sales of the Diablo. German giants Volkswagen bought Lamborghini in 1998 and so followed the Murcielago and the baby Gallardo models. There have been a few versions of the Murcielago and Gallardo models recently and the limited edition Reventon showed us what to expect in the future from this super car manufacturer. Here are our Diecast Lamborghini Model Cars.
